The Making of a Princess

Happy Sunday everyone. It is over-cast here. Not like yesterday which was scorching and was spent outside. Got a lot of weeds pulled in my flower beds. They are coming together nicely. I stopped by Extra Foods to look at their annuals. Poor pathetic looking plants. They are long past due for a transplanting. I didn`t pick any up however since it was just William and I with his wagon. Picked up some really cute "CARS" gardening gloves for William though.

On to my Layouts. This is another layout from my 20 page workshop. I took the time this morning to take pics of all of the dominican ones I have finished so far. Hopefully William will let me get a few posted. We`ll see....

The Making of a Princess:
Materials Used were.....
Close To My Heart: Magnifique PP and Stckease, Clear Sparkles, Spray Pen with Create-a-Shade Pearl Paint and Chocolate, Lagoon re-inkers.
Making Memories: "Making" letters
Cricut: for all the rest of the letters

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Scrapping.

    Another Dominican Layout

Hello. "Better late than never, unless you missed the whole show." Is my motto. I have had this layout done since my last post, but have not been on the internet much since my family moved to another place in town. And sadly, we've been moved almost a month and my scrapbook room is still stacks here and there, my desk is not set up, and no shelves on the wall either.  On the days that there is actually no rain I have been too busy outside with another LOVE of mine- flower beds. You should see the shape these are in. I think they grew over a few years ago! But I am looking forward to getting them cleaned out and my own plants in them.

So onto another Dominican Republic layouts:

These are my favorites of Jody and her son Chase.
Have you ever tried to find Purple and Orange paper that is not Halloween themed??
I'm telling you, not much- if any out there. Not to match these photos anyhow.
Her bouquet was birds of paridise and some local (Dominican) Cream coloured Flowers. I haven't looked up their name yet. Birds of Paradise were also hard to find scrapbooking wise, so I pieced these together myself.
Materials Used: Close To MY Heart-Stamps (Believe Lower and Uppercase, and Cherished Flourishes)
    Ribbon Slide.
All the paper used was misellaneous courtesy of my assorted CS bin.
The quote was a rub-on from--( will find out soon)
The orange bling is from--(will find out soon)
And ribbon is from my sister's stash and Walmart.

Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope to post again soon. Happy Canada Day Everyone!!
    Keep on Scrappin'

    Dominican Republic Layouts

Hello Everyone! Here's what I've been up to lately. I have been working on a scrapbook for my friend Jody of her Dominican Wedding. I was a bridesmaid for her wedding on February 5th, 2011 in the Dominican Republic.
I started the scrapbook in January as a 20 page workshop for my 12 for 12 group. I created it from the new MAGIC scrapbooking program from CTMH. It uses one CTMH Level II paper pack and about 20 pieces of extra CS for bases and matting, etc. I am hoping to post the actual instructions once I get all of the pages put together. I was really on a roll from Jan- Mar, but this last month I've been occupied with other things.
So today I finally picked up my camera and took pics of what I have completed so far.... Enjoy!
The paper pack I used was Magnifique from CTMH unless otherwise stated. I know I should get my fingers slapped for using other products for projects in my class, but let's be realistic. There are sooooo many other products that are perfect for this beach wedding theme.

    Embellishments:
    Jolies Boutique-Music Note Bling
Cinderella and her Prince-Happily Ever After Cricut carty. I also added CTMH bitty sparkles and White Stickles to her dress to resemble the pattern on Jody's dress.
Butterflies-made with CTMH arrows from Chocolate Mini-Medleys Collection and the Heart to Heart stamp set that came with the Magnifique Workshop last fall. Then I added different colours of bling on the round end of the arrow with CTMH Blue and Green Sparkles Assort.
The "First Dance" letters are from my mom's stash-so who knows?!
I cut the others words out with the Cricut using Nate's ABC's- Love this Carty!

Hopefully I'll get another posted tonight or tomorrow morning. Off to my day job. LOL!
Thanks for visiting and Happy Scrappin'!
